Our Community Fridge and Pantry began as an experiment with two simple goals: to build a connection between our parish and our neighbors, and to reduce food waste by sharing what we have. We are grateful that this ministry has grown, and we believe the benefits have far outweighed the challenges.
Moving Location
Recently, we have recognized that the current location, while highly visible, has made it easier for a few individuals to take unfair advantage of the generous donations. In addition, being so far from the center of parish life has limited the personal connections we hoped to foster between our parishioners and our neighbors in need.
For these reasons, we will be moving the community fridge and pantry to a new location between the church and the parish hall. We hope this change will help strengthen relationships between donors and recipients while encouraging fair use of the resources provided.
We are deeply thankful for the steady generosity of our parishioners who faithfully keep the fridge and pantry stocked. Your kindness continues to make this ministry possible and brings hope to our neighbors in need.
